Featuring works by distinguished Cypriot composers, this exciting concert offers a diverse soundscape in terms of aesthetics, inspiration, and artistic quests. The orchestra and distinguished soloists will present the world premiere of Christos Pittas’ The Demon of Fornication for tenor, baritone and chamber orchestra, based on the eponymous poem by George Seferis. Of Early Dawn by Ayis loannides is preoccupied with religious symbolisms and a movement towards the light. Naked branches I by Christina Athinodorou engages with the concept of abandonment and resurrection, inspired by the vision of a leafless tree.
